What data we collect and why
Contact and inquiry forms
When you submit a contact or application form on this site, we collect your name, email address, business name, and any details you provide. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
Comments
If you leave a comment on this site, we collect your name, email address, website (if provided), IP address, and browser user agent string. Email addresses are not published publicly. An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to retrieve a profile image if you use that service. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.
Cookies
This site uses cookies in the following contexts: functional cookies for comment form convenience (lasting up to one year); temporary session cookies when accessing login pages; and analytics cookies loaded only after you provide consent via our cookie consent banner. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
Embedded content
Some pages on this site may include embedded content from third-party platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. Embedded content behaves as if you visited that platform directly and may set its own cookies or collect interaction data, subject to that platform’s own privacy policy.
Analytics and tracking technologies
We use the following third-party tools to understand how visitors find and use this site. None of these tools are activated for new visitors until consent is provided through our cookie consent banner.
Google Tag Manager (container ID: GTM-5MPWCTP)
We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy tracking scripts. GTM itself does not collect personal data. All tags within GTM are configured to fire only after consent is granted.
Google Analytics 4 (deployed via Google Site Kit)
We use GA4 to analyze site traffic and user behavior. Data collected includes pages visited, session duration, referral source, device and browser type, and approximate geographic location (city or region level). Data is processed by Google LLC and retained for 14 months before automatic deletion. Google’s privacy policy is available at google.com/privacy.
Google Search Console (via Google Site Kit)
We use Search Console to monitor organic search performance. This tool does not place cookies on visitor devices or collect personal data directly.
Note: If you are a California resident, no tracking technologies are activated prior to your affirmative consent, consistent with the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
How long we retain your data
Comment data and metadata are retained indefinitely to support spam detection and comment moderation. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted unless an active business relationship exists. Analytics data is retained for 14 months within Google Analytics per our account settings.
Your rights
You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligations. To make a request, contact us at david@m-poweredmedia.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
Data breach procedures
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Third-party data sources
We do not purchase or receive personal data from third-party data brokers.
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
